What to say about Ellie? She came to us in an odd way as she picked me. That was a first for us in the Havanese world. While she has a
great pedigree, that wasn't what drew me to her. She drew me to her and said she was coming home with us. Her breeder watched the
connection Ellie and I had and graciously allowed us to have her in our lives.
Ellie is the clown of the house. She always has a bounce in her step and smile on her face. Ellie also lets the dogs know how she feels
about them if they manage to take a toy or chair from her. She sticks her tongue out at them. How can you not laugh with a girl like that?
While she may be doing runlikehells with the other dogs, she always manages to let me know she's thinking of me. She'll be in the middle
of playing with the others and come up and nudge my leg then run back to her play.
Ellie and Lightning watch for me to sit on the couch and the fight is on to see who gets prime lap space. Just when Lightning thinks he's
won the top spot, Ellie squeezes in for the better place. Every now and then she'll let him think he's got the prime lap spot, but then she'll
tease him with a toy to lure him from my lap, then proudly jumps up into it with a big smile on her face. Ellie has our standard poodle well
trained. She jumps up, latches on to one of Tosha's ears, and gets free ear rides. There's never a dull moment with Ellie around.
